I told the story of Sherry, me and a half pint of slow gin in my profile. I told that story before I typed the list for this page. I had lost contact with her over the years but I was hoping to see her this summer. I am so sorry she is gone. Sherry and I were great friends and double dated to a couple of proms. When Sherry was a child, she pulled a skillet of hot grease down on herself. It scared her shoulder very badly. Finding a formal that covered that shoulder was always a problem and usually fixed by her grandmother sewing a shoulder piece on to the dress. When Sherry left Casper, she moved to Kentucky. She attended the university there and ran for Miss Kentucky. She was first runner-up. She was so pretty and fun, that scar didn't slow her down a bit. I wish I had kept all the notes we wrote each other and passed between classes. Hindsight is terrific, right? If I'd kept all the notes from everybody, I'd have an excellent view of my teenage years! The notes from Sherry were always positive and sweet because that's just who she was. I miss her.
