Robert was a very bright person who died in 1965 from a fall while climbing the Shiprock formation in New Mexico.  The world is a poorer place without him.

Bob Schroeder died in a climbing accident during the '64/65 school year.  Two of his climbing companions were going to Casper College and I talked to them the week of the accident.  Bob was a student at DU at the time. He was repelling down one of the sandstone monoliths in southern Utah and the rope was not anchored well. He fell 700 feet to his death.  I can't remember the other guys names. A real shock. He was so smart and had such promise.

Bob was a good friend.  He was very smart with a great personality. He potographed my art for my admission to art school which totally changed my life.  Bob wanted to work in the United Nations and I thought the world would be greatly helped by his presence there.
