Larry and I met in 1st grade at Jefferson School.  He was one of the best natural athletes that I've ever known...good at everything.  His parents were divorced and he and his mom lived about a block away from us.  We spent countless hours playing whatever sport happened to be in season and would ride our bikes all over Casper looking for a gym that might be open so that we could shoot some hoops.  In sixth grade we had a basketball game scheduled at arch rival Garfield School but somehow missed our ride.  Larry and I jogged all the way from Jefferson to Garfield and arrived just as the game was starting.  To this day, I maintain that that's the only reason Garfield won.  Bill Laughlin and Lloyd Tarter might disagree...

Larry was an all around good guy who's life was cut way too short.
