Marilyn was my first cousin and all my life best friend. She came to Casper after our grandparents died in Denver.
She was going to a big school in Denver while her mom took care of our grandparents.
Their home in Cody was being rented while all this was going on so my dad and mom said to aunt Betty,
"why don't you get an apt. in Casper and have Marilyn Attend NCHS with Carolee". We liked to call ourselves the "Gold Dust Twins" as we went every where together. My friends at NC loved her and she seemed real happy.
Unfortunately they went back to Cody the next year and she graduated from Cody High in 1963.
She contracted MS around 1998 and her overall system was weakened. She needed a liver transplant and even though her father could have provided the funds, by the time they airlifted her to Omaha to the medical/teaching
hospital there it was too late. She passed on March 4, 2004. She was an angel and so many times we said our prayers together over the years. I know where she is and always think of "The Gold Dust Angel, Marilyn".
