We have always heard from our 'elders', that there is a young person still inside just waiting to get out! I am still waiting to be an 'elder' to find out if that is true! Time has flown, though, and it is absolutely mind-boggling to think we are looking forward to our 60th! Definitely makes one think about those intervening years and happenings, experiences in life whether at school(s), marriage, children, now grandchildren/great grandchildren, accomplishments, and the still remaining dreams of things yet to be accomplished, all of which have shaped us as people and made us stronger. I will say thus far life has been one of great learning, (I am sure more to come), with lots of mistakes but those have definitely made joy that much sweeter. I continue to relish the sunrise and sunsets and what happens in between! So I say, LIVE and share your joy!

Realtor: lots of education and ongoing with this profession. 1984 to present and still going hard! It has been a good ride and I still love what I do. It really is a joy to help people find homes that meet their dreams, or selling their home so they can move on, despite all. After all, home is where the heart is. Plus, I never tire of seeing homes...(or happy people in them). So I'll probably work until they take the car keys away. :-)

Though I definitely wanted to complete college, I believe I was floundering at the time as to what I saw as my future. I did want to go into medicine, but didn't have a clue how to pay for that kind of schooling. All of this, obviously, not all that unusual for an 18 year old. But oh to go back to then with the wisdom of now and THEN take advantage of that time!
Remember those aptitude tests we took that indicated what our 'strengths' were based on our personality? Mine was psychology and sales. I have now been in sales for 38 years, and trust me, the psychology has come in handy! Guess we end up as we should! ;-)

Probably like many, I have been fortunate enough to travel...some...but I would love to expand that. My husband loves tropical places, but I would love to go to Italy and Ireland and Portugal and...lots of spots right here in the U.S. that have lots of history and beauty. Still working on that!
The other is to write a couple of books...on which I have the barest of starts, but the determination is growing! Never a shortage of ideas, but a definite shortage of time.

If only...I hadn't been so terribly shy then, I may have been able to blossom earlier! I do wish I had been able to participate in more school functions and 'clubs', like Debate, etc. I am sure it would have developed a greater sense of self-confidence within me. NCHS itself, when I compare what my children have experienced in school with what are considered to be top drawer schools... well, I wouldn't trade our school for the world. We had a great education comparable to what now would be private schooling without so many rules...other than those dreaded uniforms.
